Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Arnold Cleek, 82, passed away Friday June 14, 2019. He was born on August 27, 1936 in Grueti-Laager, Tennessee to John Cleek Jr. and Louvine Elizabeth “Lizzie” Shrum Cleek who preceded him in death along with his sister, Evelyn Yokley; brothers, Leon, Mitchell, Chester, Cleston, Howard Elmer, James Raymond and Johnny Dean Cleek.
He was a Iron worker and was a member of the local 704 Iron Workers Union in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 35 years. He was also a coalminer.
He is survived by his daughters, Dolores (Steve Holmes) Cleek and Angel Cleek; sons, Allen, Alvin (Andrea), Dean (Vanessa) and Shane Cleek; sisters, Fay (Jerry) Yokley, Betty (Freddie Ray) Roberts and Mary (Donnie) Dykes; grandchildren, Brook (Josh), Alicia (Jason), Aaron (Mandy), Josh (Rebecca), Savannah, Autumn and Adrianna; great grandchildren, Ethan, Jeffery, Emily, Jagger and Krae; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 Noon – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
